iPiece is a magnifier tool.

iPiece shows a magnifier window next to your cursor. This application has quite a few options for a simple magnifier tool. First of all, you can customize the magnifying zoom and the window width. Zoom range starts from 2x and ends with 7x. You can customize the window border color. Also, if you wish, you can add some effects to the magnify window as: "high contrast", "grayscale", "invert", "gray out screen" and "show crosshair". All of these option work flawlessly.

This application is aimed for users who need accessibility tools, so there are also customizable hot keys for more comfortable control. iPiece is a good alternative to "ctrl+mouse-scroll" zoom, implemented in Mac OS X by default.

Pluses: easy to use and nice features for a simple application.

Drawbacks / flaws: the magnifying window has transparency, an option to disable it would be very nece.

In conclusion: Since it's easy to use, iPiece is a great magnifying tool. It's also a customizable option to the magnifier that is already in the Mac OS X.
